Four Easter Enrichment Activities for Your Bunny This Bank Holiday

Easter bunnies deserve some extra special enrichment activities to enjoy over this, hopefully sunny, bank holiday weekend. Whether your bunnies deserve their own Easter bunny themed goodie bag, or an Easter egg forage box for hours of foraging fun: we have got you covered. We have chosen some forage favourites to include in these activities, however always feel free to mix up the forage to experiment with your rabbit’s favourites.

These activities are not only a bit of Easter fun, but they are also great boredom busters, especially vital over the bank holiday when everybody is busier, there are potentially more visitors at home, and the usual routine goes out of the window. Boredom busting activities will help to keep your bunnies happy, engaged, and calm throughout the long weekend.

1. Easter Bunny Goodie Bag

Simply use a leftover paper bag to create some super cute goodie bags for your buns this Easter. All you’ll need is a pair of scissors, hay, and some tasty forage: our picks were Premium 1st Cut Timothy Hay, Premium Flower Mix, and Dandelion Roots.

1. Cut out a bunny shape in the middle of your paper bag.

2. Stuff with the hay + forage.

3. Let your bunny enjoy.

2. Easter Egg Forage Box

Your bunnies deserve their very own Easter egg hunt in the form of this boredom busting enrichment box. We recommend in investing in a stainless steel litter tray to use for your forage box, so you can fill with a base layer of your preference of litter, however you can always skip this step and use a cardboard box instead. Our forage picks include: Premium 1st Cut Timothy Hay, Natural Nibbles Plantain & Blackcurrant Salad, Dandelion Roots, and our Easter Egg (which is featured in our March Monthly Forage Box).

Optional: add a layer of litter

1. Add hay, forage + Easter Egg forage treat.

2. Allow your buns to forage.

3. Easter Bunny Cardboard Tubes

A little more fiddly to cut, but these cute bunny themed cardboard tubes are worth the effort. Using leftover toilet roll tubes as a fun, chewable enrichment activity is a great hack for any bun parent, however these take them to the next level. Our forage picks include: Premium 1st Cut Timothy Hay with Flowers and Natural Nibbles ProCare+ Digestion.

1. Cut your tubes into a bunny head shape.

2. Add hay, forage + treats.

3. Give to your buns to play.

4. Easter Basket

This is the easiest enrichment activity on this list, but still a fantastic boredom buster with a cute Easter theme. Simply use our Natural Nibbles Hay Rack and stuff with your bunny’s forage favourites for a quick, easy win. Our forage picks include: Premium 1st Cut Timothy Hay, Premium Flower Mix, and Flaked Peas.

1. Remove string from hay rack and stuff with hay + forage.

2. Place on the floor for your buns to enjoy.
