Three Enrichment Ideas for Bunnies Using Chew Toys
Enrichment activities made easy is what we are all about at Bunny Bistro. Bunnies, piggies, and other small pets can easily get bored and destructive if they are not provided with enough entertainment. And the best way to keep them interested? Food. And toys. Not only that, but healthy food and bunny safe toys, so that you can be assured that your pet is provided with only the best.
So, we have teamed up with Natural Nibbles to put together these enrichment ideas, as well as an amazing giveaway on our social media where you can win all the products involved. Each enrichment idea uses a Natural Nibbles toy along with timothy hay, healthy forage, and some extra special treats, keeping your bunny happy and boredom free.
Play Tunnel + Dandelion Salad + ProCare+ Multi-Vitamin
Our Natural Nibbles Play Tunnel is the ideal toy to use for enrichment activities as it is super easy to stuff with hay and forage. This toy will provide hours of enrichment fun, encouraging foraging instincts and boredom busting. We have paired this with our Natural Nibbles Canadian Timothy Hay with Apple & Carrot, Dandelion Salad, and ProCare+ Multi-Vitamin functional treats to encourage them to rummage for snacks whilst also providing them with vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibre.
1. Stuff timothy hay + dandelion salad into the play tunnel.
2. Bury a couple of Natural Nibbles ProCare+ Multi-Vitamin treats into the hay.
3. Place on the floor for your bunnies to enjoy.
Hay Rack + Flaked Peas + Flower Mix + Plantain Leaves
Looking for an enrichment activity that encourages your bunny to reach and rummage through their hay? This Natural Nibbles Hay Rack is the perfect toy to hang for your bunny and fill with forage goodies. We have included our Natural Nibbles Canadian Timothy Hay with Apple & Carrot, Flaked Peas, Plantain Leaves, and Natural Nibbles Flower Mix to add some amazing forage variety to your bun's diet, encouraging even the fussiest of eaters to enjoy the snack.
1. Half stuff the hay rack with timothy hay.
2. Add flaked peas, flower mix, and plantain leaves. Top with more timothy hay.
3. Hang somewhere for your buns to enjoy.
Large Willow Ball + Flower Burst Bites + Dandelion Roots
Our Natural Nibbles Large Willow Ball has the perfect sized holes to stuff with hay, treats, and chews. Plus, once your bunnies have finished eating it all, they will love to chew the ball, helping to promote fantastic dental health. For this enrichment activity we used Natural Nibbles Canadian Timothy Hay with Apple & Carrot, Flower Burst Bites, and our Dandelion Roots, as they are easy to slot into the holes in the ball and help wear down teeth naturally.
1. Push Flower Burst Bites & dandelion roots into the holes in the ball.
2. Push hay into the remaining holes.
3. Give to your bunny for them to roll and chew.
